Blooming Summer Tablescape Featuring Thrift Store Treasures

Happy Monday, Friends! Today I'm excited to be joining the Welcome Summer Tablescape Blog Hop hosted by Chloe at Celebrate and Decorate!  Today is the first day of the hop, and every day several bloggers will share their summer table inspiration. I know you're going to enjoy it--so grab a refreshing drink, and  get comfy...

If you've dropped by after visiting Donna, from a casa di Bianca,  Welcome! I love dining in the garden and wanted to celebrate the beautiful blooms before it gets too hot out--which won't be long, here in Texas! I decided to style the table with thrifted treasures from my collection. With the exception of the flatware and tablecloth, everything was either thrifted or picked from the garden, to create my blooming tablescape! I scored these beautiful Bavarian floral plates last month at the thrift store. {The pair is AVAILABLE HERE! }

This mercury glass lantern is another thrifted find.

Instead of using a candle, I tucked some battery-operated LED fairy lights inside.

To create my centerpiece, I took a stroll around the garden gathering rosemary, oregano, blue sage, and red sweetheart roses. I arranged them in a thrifted ironstone pitcher. I've had these pale green vintage glasses for ages--I found them at a yard sale.

Raspberry hibiscus iced tea is one of my summer favorites!

Last week, I shared a garden tea party near the front garden gate where the pink roses and honeysuckle are blooming. In the meantime, the red sweetheart roses near the opposite gate have started blooming! This showy bush started as a small plant, and since then, the rosemary planted in the opposite flower bed has grown so much, it extends almost to the roses. I'm a lenient gardener--I'll let the plants thrive as they will!

  1. Your table to welcome summer is so sweet and really fits in your garden so perfectly. The addition of the roses tucked on the napkins above each plate is a pretty addition. I can't believe the size of your rosemary! That is amazing, and I am sure adds a lovely fragrance to your garden. Thank you for once again sharing your talents with us!

  3. Cecilia your table is gorgeous as it sits among the beautiful flowers. I can only imagine the wonderful fragrances as you have your tea. The herbs and roses in the ironstone pitcher are so pretty. When wee move into this home almost 14 years ago now...rosemary grew much like yours...someone had been very lenient and I loved it!!! Then one day my DIL who knew nothing about herbs was helping me weed and I had an errand to run. When I returned, the rosemary was gone...she thought it was weeds and when I said "oh, no"...she said "it will grow back, this is Florida!". But Alas, it never did and I have not been successful with it since. :( It is always a pleasure to blog hop with you.

  19. Cecilia, it is all so beautiful in your picturesque garden setting! I think you know how much I love herbs too, so I am just in awe of your rosemary. I planted a large rosemary plant earlier this spring and it it thriving. I hope it grows like yours!

    Your garden flower bouquet is so lovely and I love how the little petals are used as a scatter across the table. The dishes are beautiful and I would have a hard time parting with them.

    The tea looks refreshing, I think I will try that blend!

    So happy to hop with you this week. Have a great summer ahead.
