Garden Urn Upcyle

Happy Wednesday! Today I'm sharing an upcycle from a recent estate sale find...

{DecoArt provided the chalk paint, acrylic and wax used in this post.  All opinions are my own!}

Remember this urn? It was a bargain and in excellent condition-- just a little blah!

I knew right away I wanted to use Americana Decor chalk paint.  I fell in love with the product when I used it for one of my favorite and most viewed projects...

This is my favorite shade, Vintage.  It has excellent coverage and is very reasonably priced. I applied it with a sponge brush.

Next, I dry brushed Americana White Wash acrylic to accent details.

Once it dried, I used a soft cloth to wipe on the wax.

Finally, I added colorful petunias!

Have fun creating!

  1. The urn turned out really pretty Cecilia. Love that color too. I think I bought some of that paint and hope I bought the wax too. Anxious to try it.
