Happy Tuesday, Friends! Welcome to the Creative Craft Blog Hop hosted this month by Sara from Birdz of a Feather! Maybe like me, you've struggled with a gift idea for that person who has everything--looking at you, Mom!--check out these homegrown crafted gifts that are rooted with love

If you hopped over after visiting Suzanne from Shop at Blu, doesn't she have some great ideas for refreshing garden decor? Speaking of the garden, I inherited my love of plants from my mother and since she appreciates handmade gifts, I decided to create a unique birthday present for her featuring cuttings from my garden packaged in miniature hand-lettered gift bags.
Here's what you'll need:
*Several plant cuttings
*Florist tubes
*Mini drawstring bags
*Sharpie marker
*Optional: gift tote or box for packaging several mini bags/celebratory mini sign
Start by placing the plant cuttings in florist tubes filled with water. Whether you root the plants in advance or opt for giving them "ready to root" to the recipient, the tubes will keep them fresh. Next, label each mini bag with the plant name. Then, place the cutting/florist tube inside the mini bag and tighten the drawstring.

Optional Tip: I think the miniature bags make darling gifts on their own but I just so happened to have an adorable gift tote that I received from a previous gift as well as a mini sign to wish my mom Happy Birthday! So be sure to raid your craft and gift bag stash for supplies to create a similar look!

Next on the hop is Donna from Modern on Monticello and I can't wait to see her patriotic flower arrangement! Enjoy visiting the rest of today's featured bloggers below:
