A little about me...

For those who are new here--I am a blogger, author, and native Texan residing in the scenic Hill Country. My nest may be empty, but my three kids and adorable Ginger Grand are never far from my heart. Favorite Son lives nearby, and although my daughters and grandson live out of state, I am proud to be a doting grandparent. (Thank God for video chatting!)

Since I raised and homeschooled my kids as a single parent, I learned to thrift, repurpose, and upcycle before any of these words were popular trends or used as verbs. I truly love hunting for vintage treasures and breathing new life into pieces that have seen better days. I am also both a chocoholic and dishaholic. If you follow me on Instagram, you've likely seen evidence of both from squares of my cherished vintage jadeite collection or affection for decadent desserts.
