Thank God it's thrifty Friday, Friends! My mom and stepdad came to visit a few weeks ago and since my birthday is this month, they treated me to an early celebration. Mom and I went thrifting first and today I'm sharing our fabulous finds
We started our morning at Starbucks and then later, we celebrated my early birthday lunch at our favorite Mexican food restaurant, Mamacita's. My delicious shrimp fajitas are pictured below and I also enjoyed mojito mocktails and...brought home a slice of triple chocolate cheesecake! It was such a pleasure to have them here and I admit I didn't mind being spoiled a bit! Thanks, Mom & Jeff!
Mom found bargains on several wine glasses and flutes--I didn't remember to get a photo when they were here, but here's one she sent me.
I already have several pieces of the blueish Pyrex manufactured in the eighties and nineties so I was happy to find a pair of pristine mixing bowls.
During their visit, we also went to Fredericksburg and to a fun bakery/cafe with lovely gardens decorated for fall--I'll be sharing lots of photos from those outings next week. Before they headed home, we went to breakfast but first, I scored this darling Christmas cookie plate set at a yard sale for $3!
Stay tuned to see them featured in my holiday tablescape in December, and join me Monday for more highlights of our visit!
Until next time, happy hunting!
