Thank God it's thrifty Friday, Friends! Today I'm sharing the fabulous finds from our recent trip to Round Top; both my treasures plus Carly's! There's lots to see, so let's go...
Happy Wednesday, Friends! It's Texas Antique Week in the Round Top/Warrenton area. I went early with my friend Carly and I'll be sharing our adventures, finds and favorite stomping grounds from the trip in my next few posts. Exactly one week ago, we headed out bright and early...
Happy Monday, Friends! One of the best perks of blogging is the lovely people I meet. Though I've only met most of you via email or comments, it's been a pleasure! I met Laura, the blogger behind White Spray Paint through the Thoughts of Home party she co-hosts. We began following each other on Instagram and soon discovered our common interest in hunting for hidden treasure in unlikely places. Be it a thrift store or flea market, we are drawn to the thrill of the hunt and the desire to create beauty for less. When Laura asked if I would like to guest post for a series she is featuring about thrifting, I was intrigued. I absolutely love the title that she chose because I agree that there truly is an art to thrifting--one that is easily cultivated. It just takes a little practice ;) I hope you'll follow me over and share your thoughts on thrifting in the comments!
Hi there, Friends! Even though it's still quite warm here, it is officially fall and it's been awhile since I've shared the garden. Join me for a leisurely stroll ...
TGITF Friends! When I spied this tall wooden bushel basket sitting outside Lemons & Lace, I had to turn the car around and go and check it out. It made me think of gathering apples in crisp fall weather, and was just begging to go home with me! So of course I obliged...
Happy Wednesday, Friends! A few weeks ago I shared my upcycled burlap pumpkins, the first in a series of fall dollar store crafts. As promised, today I'm sharing another--so grab your button stash and join me!
Hi there, Friends! One of my biggest priorities is to consistently cultivate a heart of gratitude, which is especially meaningful during the fall season. Not only is there the anticipation of Thanksgiving, but the celebration of autumn harvest seems to encourage a grateful heart. Today I'm sharing my tablescape and embracing a thyme to be grateful...
Believer, herb gardener, dishaholic, lover of dark chocolate, Southern girl, and thrift store junkie. I’m passionate about finding beauty in imperfection. Join me as I hunt vintage treasures and transform thrift store finds. Check out my home and garden projects to see how easy it is to create a beautiful home without spending a lot of money!
I adore decorating and gardening but as a single parent have always needed to do both on a budget. Thrifting-- my all inclusive verb for shopping resale shops, thrift stores, estate and yard sales is not just my hobby but rather a lifestyle. It supports my habit of collecting Vintage dishes and Pyrex and over the years has proven invaluable for decorating and re-decorating. I am passionate about transforming and repurposing cast away furniture and love furnishing my home with pieces that have their own history. It has saved me more pennies than I can count and is the perfect solution to almost any dilemma. Your child comes home from school and informs you that he must dress like his favorite super hero TOMORROW? Your daughter can only wear modest knee length skirts to respect the local culture on her upcoming mission trip? Volunteer to host the next ladies event but then realize you don't own enough matching glasses? The answer to these questions and so many more: THRIFTING! Last, but certainly not least--thrifting is all about re-cycling, re-imagining and re-creating; the best way to shop green!
