I finally rebelled and learned how to hang small pictures on common pins with heads inserted at a slight upward angle. I filled holes with white toothpaste back then! I also have been known to use self-stick Velcro on institutional walls that we were not allowed to make holes in! Holds lightweight stuff just fine!
